Each year, thousands of DONNA supporters across the country turn their miles into something bigger—raising hundreds of thousands of dollars to fuel the mission of The DONNA Foundation. This isn’t just fundraising. It’s a lifeline.

Because of you, more than 20,000 families facing breast cancer have found help and hope through The DONNA CareLine. You’ve propelled over $3.3 million into the hands of researchers unlocking tomorrow’s cures. And together, we’ve celebrated survivorship with more than 150,000 athletes across DONNA finish lines—including The National Marathon to Finish Breast Cancer™.

Fundraising Fees and Goals

There is no fee or requirement to fundraise as an individual or team. The more you raise, the bigger the impact! We encourage a $300 starting goal for individuals and a $3,000 starting goal for teams.

Offline Gifts

Please follow these steps to apply an offline gift, such as cash or check, to your personal or team fundraising page:

1. Email donor and gift details to fundraising@thedonnafoundation.org. Include the donor’s first name, last name, gift amount, and where to apply the gift (to your individual fundraising page or team fundraising page). If a company makes a gift, please include the company name.
2. Mail the gift to The DONNA Foundation with your name and contact information. It’s important to identify your fundraiser name or team name to ensure your fundraiser is credited properly.
3. Using the details above, The DONNA Foundation will apply the offline gift to your fundraiser. Please allow ten (10) business days to apply the funds.

Tip: encourage donors to contribute to your personal or team peer to peer fundraising page. If a donor accidentally makes a gift to The DONNA Foundation through another Foundation donation page on your behalf, ask the donor to send gift confirmation details to fundraising@thedonnafoundation.org.

Donor Receipts

Everyone who makes an online donation will receive an automated e-mail confirmation for tax purposes, via the RunSignUp platform.

Matching Gifts

Does your employer have a matching gift program? If so, you may be able to double your gift by notifying your Human Resources Department and requesting a match gift to The DONNA Foundation.
