DONNA Marathon Weekend
26.2 with DONNA The National Marathon to Finish Breast Cancer is the only marathon in the US dedicated to breast cancer research and care and benefits The DONNA Foundation. The annual DONNA Marathon Weekend is held each February, and fills the Beaches of Northeast Florida with thousands of runners from all 50 states and many countries. Participants enjoy a flat, fast Boston-Qualifying marathon course that takes them through the four beautiful beach communities of Atlantic Beach, Neptune Beach, Jacksonville Beach and Ponte Vedra Beach with scenic views and an outpouring of crowd support. There’s a reason this event has been recognized by CNN Travel as one of the “Seven Marathons Worth the Trip” and “Favorite Charity Race” from the readers of Women’s Running Magazine.
The vision of the DONNA Foundation has always been to transform the experience for breast cancer patients from a place of fear and frustration to one of love and support.
“As a mission-driven nonprofit, The DONNA Foundation has a responsibility to charge a path forward that reflects our dedication to the health of patients and families we serve, the runners who lace up with us year after year, and the communities we call home.” – Donna Deegan, Founder
This has led us to an exciting decision: through the Spring of 2021, all of our events will be delivered to you in a really unique, virtual way. In this time of social distancing, we’re going to come together virtually and celebrate DONNA finish lines… everywhere, together. We hope you will join us.
